For their 550th episode, Film Roman wanted to create something special so they teamed up with LEGO and Pure Imagination Studios to create a one-of-a-kind reimagining of Springfield in the LEGO style. Pure Imagination Studios created all of the CG sequences (14 minutes) against a backdrop of a heartfelt story and classic Simpsons humor. The episode, along with the CG animation, was very well received. Tim Surette, from TV.com, wrote, “visually, ‘Brick Like Me’ was a stunner, rebuilding Springfield in bright, brick-by-brick 3D, and that’s what the episode will forever be known for”.
